Where on earth do I live?
Elephants can live in a variety of places, and live in separate herds. In Africa , african elephants like to live in hot, dry grasslands, rainforests, and sometimes even deserts. While in Asia, asian elephants live in tropical rainforests, but they can also live in swamps or other habitats that provide the coolness they need. Those are some examples of habitats where African and Asian elephants live, but if elephants of enough food and water they can survive at that habitat. Some elephants migrate to find food and water. In a female herd there is a elephant that leads the herd which is matriarch which is usually the oldest female in the herd and the most skills for surviving. In a male herd when the elephant is about ten to fifteen years old they leave their herd. After they leave the herd they either wander alone or create a bachelor herd.
